Radiologists back call for more radiographer reporting to reduce waiting lists

The BIR, SCoR and InHealth Radiographer Reporting have issued a joint document on why radiographer reporting is a vital part of service delivery. Whilst acknowledging a need for an increase in the numbers of radiologists and radiographers, Workforce innovation delivers “prompt, efficient, cost effective and safe clinical imaging services” outlines that why, with a growing demand for imaging and an ageing and growing population, radiographer reporting is a key proven innovation which will help reduce unacceptable waiting lists.


With contributions from radiologists it furthers the case that an increased multidisciplinary approach is a vital part of service delivery and its increased adoption marks a important shift in diagnostic imaging.
