The Clinical Intelligence and Informatics SIG is a stimulating forum for everyone working with and setting up information systems supporting radiological diagnostic or therapeutic practices. One of the aims is to explore how data can be better harnessed to improve clinical outcomes.

Latest SIG news – July 2020
What a year of challenge, change and innovation this has been so far. The BIR has adapted its ways of working and the meeting on 18 June reflected this! The management group met via Vidoeconference and almost everyone ‘attended’ and contributed enthusiastically.
The BIR moved quickly to adapt its Education programme and many events will now be in a virtual format. In addition the Institute has produced a brilliant webinar series on COVID-19. These have all been free of charge and are available to view in our Online Learning Library. We also have a dedicated COVID-19 resources page on our website.
The BIR Annual Congress has also been adapted and will be a virtual event for the first time, taking place over three days 4 – 6 November 2020. Once again, this SIG will be contributing strongly to the exciting programme which will cover:
- Leadership and wellbeing
- Artificial intelligence (led by Dr Hugh Harvey and Dr Sri Redla)
- Patient protection
The event is free for BIR members, so don’t miss out!
Currently this highly regarded annual event is planned to go ahead as face to face, however, if this is not possible, it will be adapted to an online format.
- Big Data and PACS 2 – planning for Spring 2021.
