In Memory of Charles Albert Frederick Joslin, MB, BS, FRCR, DMRT, MIERE, CEng. (1928 – 2025)

This memorial honours Professor Charles Albert Frederick “Joss” Joslin (1928–2025), a pioneering clinician and former President of the British Institute of Radiology, whose rare combination of engineering and medical expertise helped shape modern brachytherapy and advance cancer care nationally and internationally. Over a distinguished career at Charing Cross, Velindre Hospital, and Leeds, he became a leading figure in high-activity afterloading radiotherapy, a dedicated teacher and mentor, and a key contributor to national cancer initiatives, including the UK breast screening programme.

Recognising Excellence: BIR/Bayer Make it Better Service Award and BIR George du Boulay Priming Awards Presented
