BIR publishes patient shielding guidance

The BIR has published guidance to explain why the use of patient contact shielding to protect critical organs is no longer necessary for patients. This document, produced in collaboration with sister societies and other agencies, offers clear, evidence-based recommendations and aims to prevent inconsistency of practice and offer reassurance to patients. A useful flyer to convey this message to patients is coming soon.
