Dr Nicholas Screaton, President of the BIR, presented Professor Andrea Rockall, President of the European Society of Radiology and Clinical Chair in Radiology at Imperial College London, with the prestigious award at the BIR Annual Congress on 8 November. In recognition of her exceptional contributions, Professor Rockall has also been made an Honorary Fellow of the BIR.

Following the award presentation she delivered her insightful lecture titled "Multidisciplinarity: The Essence of Care and Innovation in Imaging." Her talk focused on the advancements in medical imaging and how multidisciplinary meetings and broader collaboration will help working towards improving imaging practices. Innovation and technical progress have been fuelled by strong partnerships between academia and industry, this ongoing digital transformation will bring together specialists from various fields to better patient care.
