The Fujifilm Award for Best Research Performance at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) has been presented to Sarah Binte Sulaiman. The prize is given each year to the graduate in BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Imaging that receives the top result in their research work. “Sarah is an outstanding student who also won prizes for Best Academic Performance” said Yvonne Watt, Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging.
Speaking about her award, Sarah said "I am truly overwhelmed and deeply humbled to be receiving the Fujifilm Award for Best Research Performance. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fujifilm UK Medical Systems for sponsoring prizes to students in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Although it was a relatively stressful period, I took pleasure in writing my dissertation as my topic was something I am very passionate about. In addition, my GCU university experience has been second to none, and the Diagnostic Imaging programme here has nurtured me to become a competent diagnostic radiographer. My course mates were wonderful, and the radiographers I met during my placements in Glasgow were very welcoming. I am now back in my home country of Singapore and have recently taken up a position at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital."
“Congratulations to Sarah on this award and for all her hard work on her dissertation” said Adrian Waller, General Manager of Fujifilm Medical Systems UK. “Fujifilm are proud to continue our longstanding association with GCU in promoting academic excellence in medical imaging.”
