Applications are invited from full members of the BIR to join the BIR council. Five positions are available from 1 October 2013:
- Vice President for Publications (term of service 3 years)
- Four Ordinary Trustees (term of service 3 years)
To promote effective delivery of the BIR’s strategy, the council are looking for the following areas of expertise/representation from applicants:
- Publications
- Radiography
- Industry
- Education
Trustees provide strategic guidance and leadership, and ensure good governance of all BIR activities. This is achieved through participation in council meetings (four per year) with additional regular contact with fellow trustees and participation in other areas of BIR activity.
Nominations must be from two members of the BIR, with the consent of the person being nominated, and should include a short resume of up to 500 words on the relevant experience of the nominee.
