Dr Simon Jackson is BIR VP Education. He is an Honorary Academic Radiologist at the Peninsula Radiology Academy in Plymouth. As a Consultant Gastrointestinal Radiologist at the University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust his specialist interests included the multidisciplinary aspects of GI and hepato-biliary imaging as well as ERCP. Simon has undertaken various roles during his career including President of the British Society of GI and Abdominal Radiology (2010-2012), Executive Committee member European Society of GI and Abdominal Radiology (2008-present) as well as undertaking various national and international educational appointments for the RCR, ESR, ESOR and UEG. Simon is also the current Editor-in-Chief (Medical) BJR after completing terms as both an Associate and Senior Editor.
