Helen is the lead clinical academic Therapeutic Radiographer at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Professor in Translational Therapeutic Radiography at The Institute of Cancer Research. The aim of her current HEE/NIHR senior clinical lecturer grant is to create an optimal patient pathway to deliver on-line adaptive radiotherapy. She has contributed to many national and international guidelines, including IMRT, IGRT and Magnetic Resonance Image Guided radiotherapy (MRIgRT). She is a member of the European Society of Radiation Oncology teaching faculty for MRIgRT. She was chair of the BIR Oncology Committee (2010-2013) and is a member of the BIR Leadership and Management SIG.
