Sense about Science event for researchers - free places

Priority places for BIR members
Tuesday 26 November 2013
University of Glasgow

The BIR is proud to support this exciting workshop which supports young researchers who are looking to publish their work in the media.

This full day event is free and for early career researchers in all sciences, engineering and medicine (PhD students, post-docs or equivalent in first job).

During the workshop we combine discussion about science-related controversies in media reporting with practical guidance and tips for how to deal with the media. Please find further information at http://www.senseaboutscience.org/data/files/VoYS/Media_workshop_GlasgowNov2013.pdf
These workshops are very popular and places are limited. However the BIR has five priority places for BIR members.

To apply send a CV and cover letter explaining your reasons for applying to Victoria Murphy vmurphy@senseaboutscience.org. If you are a member of any of our partner organisations, please state in your application.

Closing date applications is Thursday 14th November.
