Call to publicly report clinical trials

Sense about Science are calling for more openness in reporting clinical trials. Ian Bushfield, Campaign Support Officer from Sense About Science, is calling for the World Health Organisation to state that the results of all clinical trials should be publicly reported.  "We have an incredible chance to press the World Health Organisation to state that the results of all clinical trials must be publicly reported. Many AllTrials supporters have wondered why the WHO has never had a policy on reporting the results of clinical trials. It has now resolved that it needs one."

This is potentially a really significant step. This policy could provide a global solution. We need everyone to respond to the WHO’s consultation to welcome this move by the WHO and to press the WHO to include past trials as well."

The consultation closes on 15th November.
