Fluke Biomedical and Raysafe have joined the BIR to contribute to the furtherance of the study and practice of radiology, radiobiology, and the medical applications of nuclear medicine.

In February 2014, Unfors RaySafe was acquired by Fluke Biomedical, the world’s leading manufacturer of biomedical test instruments. Together the two companies offer a breadth of radiation detectors for safety quality assurance, X-ray test tools and phantoms, and real-time dose monitoring solutions.

According to Lee Evans, UK Sales Director with RaySafe. “As a corporate member of BIR, we welcome the opportunity to network with multi-disciplinary audiences, collaborate on developing educational events, and contribute to industry publications.”

“It is a pleasure to welcome Fluke Biomedical RaySafe to our community,” explains Jacqueline Fowler, CEO, BIR. “Quality assurance in the field of radiation is vital to protect everyone in medical settings from avoidable radiation and we look forward to working with the team to help educate staff everywhere about best practice in this field.”

Fluke Biomedical RaySafe joins 22 other corporate members of the BIR.
