Philips corporate awardThe British Institute of Radiology (BIR) has awarded a special corporate award to Philips in recognition of the sustained contribution from the company to the Institute over a number of years.

The award was presented at the inauguration of the new President of the BIR, Andy Rogers, on 22 September at the Malmaison Hotel, Charterhouse Square, London. Neil Mesher, CEO of Philips UK and Ireland, accepted the award on Philips’s behalf.

Not only has the company elected to become a platinum sponsor, but it has also supported our Trainee award for Excellence and our Student Travel Bursary.  Through the support and corporate collaboration from Philips, we have established active special interest group members and several former trustees on our Council. The BIR has benefited immensely from this in-kind support and sharing of skills.”

Neil Mesher said “Philips is proud to support the British Institute of Radiology and its important work in imaging science and radiation technology. We are delighted and deeply honoured to have been recognised by the BIR through this special corporate award. We believe the BIR embodies and represents the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in healthcare in the UK.”
