JPH_Speaking at CSRBIR President Dr Jane Phillips-Hughes was invited to speak at the Chinese Congress of Radiology in Beijing where she delivered a presentation on Pancreatic Islet Cell Transplantation. The Congress, held on 5–11 November 2018 was attended by around 12,000 radiologists and radiographers. Professor Maryann Hardy, Vice President, Education, also delivered a presentation on radiography education in the UK: combining regulatory expectations and professional aspirations. Of interest to the many researchers who choose BJR to publish their work was a talk which Head of Publishing, Sophia Anderton was invited to present on Academic journal best practice for authors, reviewers and editors. Andy Rogers, Past President of the BIR was also invited to take part in a debate on the future of artificial intelligence in the UK. It was also an opportunity to meet with the Chinese Society of Radiology to exchange news and explore ways of collaborating in the future.
