Signs and Symbols: Heraldry and Radiology from Röntgen to the Present DayEver been curious about those intricate Coat of Arms designs seen on societies, professional bodies and schools across the world? Professor Steve Keevil will de-mystify the background to design, history and symbolism in this British Society of the History of Radiology Annual Lecture on Monday 5 February at 7pm. He will explore how it is a living art with coats of arms still in widespread use and new ones granted every year including the BIR’s own coat of arms which was granted in a formal King’s Grant in 2023. Don’t miss this fascinating deep-dive into history and a great chance to catch up with colleagues away from the workplace.

The lecture takes place at the Governor’s Hall, St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
