Vacancy: Vice Chair of Radiology and Oncology Congress

Applications are invited for the position of Vice Chair of Radiology & Oncology Congress (ROC) and Radiology and Oncology congress Events (ROC-E).

The ROC Board is seeking a Vice chair who would, in October 2024, become the Chair of ROC and ROC-E, succeeding the current Chair Pamela Black. The Vice Chair is a Charity Trustee and a Director of ROC.The tenure for Chair of ROC would initially be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 3 years, subject to ROC Board approval.

The Radiology & Oncology congress Board is a charity, the object of the which isto advance education in radiology, oncology and related sciences, particularly by the provision of congresses pertaining to the radiation sciences as applied to medicine and, the dissemination for the public benefit, of the useful results of reports of research arising from such congresses.

Radiology & Oncology Events Ltd is the subsidiary company that oversees the organisation of the United Kingdom Imaging & Oncology Congress which is held annually - UKIO.

There are four meetings per annum of each board, usually with two being face to face and two held virtually. This combination can be changed as and when required.

The role of the Vice chair is primarily to support and shadow the Chair, work with the chair and Board Secretary to ensure the risk Register is up to date and in the chair’s absence chair the board.  The Vice Chair will receive support in development in order to succeed as the Chair in October 2024.
