The BIR commemorates International Day of Radiology and World Radiography Day (8 November 2016) with fun resources for staff and patients

Download crossword and word search for your team and waiting room.
Suitable for radiology and radiotherapy departments, cancer charities, patient liaison staff and anyone involved in International Day of Radiology or World Radiography Day 2016.

To commemorate the International Day of Radiology on 8 November 2016, which this year is dedicated to breast imaging, the BIR has produced a fun brain-teaser crossword aimed at staff to remind them of the essential role that radiology plays in the detection, diagnosis and management of diseases of the breast.

The first correct completed crossword which is sent to the BIR on 8 November wins a radiology-themed prize.

For World Radiography Day on 8 November 2016 the BIR has produced a radiology/radiotherapy-themed word search which will keep waiting patients occupied and covers a range of terms associated with the work of both specialties. No specific knowledge is required to join in with this quiz.  Print copies and make available in waiting rooms and clinics.

These are ideal resources for anyone organising an awareness raising stand or aiming to spread the word about the importance of the radiology team and the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
